Latinos in Agriculture (LIA)
Latinos in Agriculture (LIA) is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences (CAFES). LIA is a club that allows members from all agriculture backgrounds or majors to come together and feel like they have a home away from home. Members get to see different opportunities they have and participate in events to help educate others on what agriculture is about. LIA serves to support students involved in agriculture, assist them in seeking professional and career opportunities, offer leadership development opportunities and serve as a cultural support system for all students. The club hosts multiple events during the year. Major activities include attending the Minorities in Agriculture Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRS) National Conference, MANRS Regional Cluster, and hosting 26 Hours of the Science & Technology in Agriculture Program.
